Expressions for Verifying and Confirming
To Verify an Action or a Detail
→ Tu as bien ... ? / Vous avez bien ... ?
Used to ensure that an action has been completed or that a detail is correct.
Tu as bien fermé la porte ? / Vous avez bien réservé les billets ?
→ Il y a bien ... ?
Used to verify a fact or an upcoming event.
Il y a bien une séance à 21 heures ?
→ Le rendez-vous est bien à ... ?
Useful for confirming the time or place of an appointment.
Le rendez-vous est bien à 18 heures ?
To Ask for Confirmation
→ ... n'est-ce pas ?
→ ... non ?
→ ... c'est ça ?
These expressions, at the end of a sentence, are used to ask for confirmation of information or a supposition.

Affirmation with "Si"
Answering Negative Questions
In French, when you affirmatively answer a negative question, you must use "si" instead of "oui". This clears up any ambiguity.

→ Bien sûr que oui !
C'est important d'avoir un bon travail.
→ Oui, tout à fait / Absolument / Certainement.
Il n'a vraiment pas de chance dans sa vie.
→ C'est sûr / C'est vrai / C'est clair (familiar).
